Tea Rose Garden is a tea house in Pasadena, California. It is listed at 70 N Raymond Ave #101, Pasadena, CA 91103, which places it among the local businesses of Pasadena that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as catering food and drink supplier, event venue, florist, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Pasadena. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in California are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 10 am–6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (626) 578-1144. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, tearosegarden.com.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 412 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Pasadena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We came yesterday for afternoon tea since it was my son's bday request. I made a reservation online and it was quick and easy. Location was easy to find and we lucked out with 2hr street parking for $2.50. Venue was cute inside, pretty simple. It wasn't crowded at all. We opted for the tea for two and ordered scones and dessert à la carte. It was $262 for a party of 6. Everyone left full and took leftovers home. The price is definitely cheaper than places in OC. I would come back.

Under new ownership and it is absolutely just as lovely, if not even more special now! So fun, cozy, quiet, yet vibrating with ladies having a great time! Every item was quite delicious and delightful. I cannot wait to come back again!

The service is good and the store has a charming atmosphere. But the quality of the food and the price just doesn’t live up to standards. It’s more expensive than other tea places in the area, but the food quality doesn’t reflect that. I had the English breakfast tea set for reference. For example, they give you a TEA BAG in the teapot, instead of loose tea leaves. That’s pretty disappointing given the cost (if I recall, 7 dollars a pot). I can’t imagine paying 7 dollars for one tea bag. I might as well just buy the loose tea leaves myself for the same cost. The cream is too sweet and not very authentic. It’s way too sugary. The sugar cubes look pre-chewed The fruit they give is bad quality too. They gave 3 grapes, 2 slices of cantaloupe, 3 small blueberries, and half a strawberry. The strawberry was wrinkly and dark. Just really disappointed. Again, to go to a tea place and get an upcharged tea bag in hot water and wrinkly, cheap fruit is pretty disappointing. I’d recommend to go to other places. The atmosphere in the photos makes this look better than the actually food and tea is. Edit: Looking at the reviews (from 7 years ago), it seems others have also mentioned them prov

I was looking for a last-minute spot in Pasadena and came across Tea Rose Garden. Online it showed no reservations available, but it suggested calling for same-day openings—so I did, and they were incredibly kind and able to accommodate us right away. That alone set the tone for a really positive experience. The space itself is absolutely lovely—very charming, thoughtful, and clearly curated with care. You can tell they put effort into every detail, from the presentation to the overall atmosphere. Service was wonderful throughout—attentive, warm, and welcoming without being overbearing. As for the food, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a traditional tea service: delicate tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, light salads, and sweet treats. Everything was nicely presented and enjoyable, but it leans heavily on the sweeter side. This isn’t really a place for a full, savory meal—it’s more of a light bite and an experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot for a relaxing afternoon, catching up with friends, or treating yourself to something a little special. Just come knowing it’s more about the ambiance and indulgence than a hearty meal.

I visited this tea room yesterday and overall had a really lovely experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and you can tell care goes into the preparation. The lemon raspberry scone was perfectly made — tender, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights. They also offered some gluten-free options, which I appreciated, and had plenty of sugar alternatives available for tea. Service was wonderful. The servers were friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. Our food came out quickly, and the tea was served nice and hot — exactly how it should be. That said, it is a bit more expensive than other tea rooms I’ve visited, especially considering the smaller portion sizes. The overall quality of the tableware and serving pieces didn’t quite match the price point. The china cups were plain (part of the fun of tea service is drinking from beautiful floral cups!), and the three-tiered trays were lightweight plastic rather than something more elegant. The space itself was very clean and decorated nicely, which added to the ambiance. However, the tables were quite close together, and with limited sound-absorbing materials, conversations became loud and the background music was hard to he
